Penguins’ Attention Back To The Cup
With 4 of the 8 Round 3 ties concluded last Sunday, there leaves 4 more in the last 16 as they battle to earn the right to advance into the final 8 in the MOF 11s Weekend Leagues Season 5 Cup Quarterfinals.
This Sunday we shall witness a first time match-up between these 2 sides. 4 time MOF Sunday League Division I Champions Happy Feet United versus current Season 6 Division II new entrees Y Homeless FC.
Previously from another league, Y Homeless FC started their campaign in the MOF Leagues with a few friendlies and took up the invitation to join the current Cup competition while waiting on the new season to commence. With commendable results thus far, YHFC are definitely worthy of a spot in the last 16, where they are now. Good results which included a 3-3 draw against the reigning Season 5 Division III Champions Mak Hitam 95 meant that this team is no pushover at all.
Last year’s MOF Cup Winners and recently crowned Season 5 Division I Champions Happy Feet United, are on a high now as well; with precious wins over Project Vaults FC and Sol United recently in the just-concluded league, they present a mountainous hurdle to cross for Y Homeless FC.
With the victor of the Gabrielite Remix FC and Team Engineering await at the other arm of the Cup Bracket, the winner of this tie has 2 more obstacles to clear before reaching the Final.
