MOF Cup Final – The Usual Suspects
The same story, the same teams and the same prestige up for grabs.
The Semi-Finals of the Season 5 MOF Cup concluded with the 2 teams emerging from them; Season 4 MOF Cup defending Champions Happy Feet United and losing Finalists Project Vaults FC.
Happy Feet United had an easier time today as they thrashed depleted Toh Guan Krew by 4 goals to nil. With an easy stroll in the park, it was just another day in the office as the Penguins advanced to the Finals.
On the other hand, the Golden Eagles had to toil against a resilient Aquila FC, falling behind to a 0-2 scoreline at HT. Facing imminent defeat at the hands of the reigning Division V Champions, PVFC came back with 3 sublimely taken headers by double-goal hero Suhaimi and Ruthra to claim a dramatic comeback; dashing the hopes of Aquila FC and ending their fairy tale abruptly.
With the last meeting seeing the Penguins prevail over the Golden Eagles via a marathon penalty kick, revenge is firmly on the cards as the latter seek to be the first team to dethrone the successful Happy Feet United.
We shall all await with great anticipation as the Finals unveil itself.
