Project Vaults FC vs 529’ers

Last season’s Division 2 runners-up 529’ers pulled off a major scalp as they beat Division 1 giants Project Vaults FC 4-1 as they kicked off their Division 1 campaign with an impressive victory.

529’ers couldn’t have asked for tougher opposition than PVFC and they shocked their opponents after taking the lead in the 32nd minute as they went into the break with a 1-0 lead.

And they weren’t done there, as they inflicted more misery on PVFC after adding a second goal just seven minutes after the restart and they sealed the game with quick-fire goals in the 78th and 79 minute.

PVFC managed to grab a consolation shortly after in the 81st minute but it was already too little too late, and they will be hoping this defeat will be a wake-up call to get their season up and running.
