It’s the business end of the season where no niceties are spared and none were spared for KnockarounD as their title challenge took a huge blow after they were beaten by fellow contenders Young Boys in a thrilling 8-5 win for last season’s Social Division 1 champions.
The game was largely dominated by Young Boys as they dominated possession against their physically superior opponents, KnockarounD kept themselves in contention for the game for most parts but YB’s goalkeeper Pratip made a couple of stunning saves to ensure that his team remained firmly in the lead as he lead his team to a vital victory.
CPG were expected to gain a comfortable victory but it was anything but, after they were given a run for their money by UHURU FT who narrowly lost 5-6 to the league leaders.
It looked like business as usual for the title favourites as they took the lead and dominated the early parts of the game but UHURU FT refused to go down without a fight as they pressed their opponents and got stuck in, and had their goalkeeper to thank for keeping them in the game with several point blank saves. Unfortunately for them, CPG just managed to edge them out as they made sure their winning streak stayed intact.
