Games at Crest Secondary School never disappoint, as Team Engineering can attest after securing big wins in their last two cup fixtures.
However, they weren’t so lucky this time round as they came up against Division 1 giants Gabrielite Remix FC who beat them 4-2 in one of the most exciting clashes so far this season.
It was a feisty affair with both teams putting everything they had on the line as they tried to seize the advantage. And it was Team Engineering who drew first blood after their no.3 Nash opened the scoring and they went further in front after they were awarded a controversial penalty which no.17 Fathful gratefully dispatched.
GRFC weren’t prepared to lie down despite going behind in such abrupt fashion as they clawed one back through no.5 Justin, a lapse of concentration in Team Engineering’s defence then saw no.32 Arman level the scores as the momentum was swung in their favour.
And GRFC made use of that momentum as they went further in front in the second half in which they mostly dominated as they went on to seal their progress into the next round.
