Y Homeless FC laid upon their shoulders the last Sunday as they aim to be the first team to break the seemingly unstoppable run of the MOF 11s Season 4 Cup Champions, Happy Feet United. On the back of a series of good results, YHFC found themselves the probable candidates to do just that. However, despite this optimisim, the burden on the shoulders of the YHFC was in the end too heavy to bear.
At one point, Y Homeless FC was drawn with the reigning Division I Champions Happy Feet United at 1-1. A brace of quick goals saw the recently crowned Season 5 Division I Champions take the lead in style. Worthy of mention was the 3rd when HFU’s stout striker #16 Fazly, after clinically chesting down a airborne pass, volleyed a sublime strike beyond the reach of the YHFC Goalkeeper.
Beyond this point, it was a point of not looking back again for the Penguins.
Young sensation #99 Hanafi was also on the scoresheet when he single-handedly managed 3 goals in the game. The affair ended in favour of HFU, when the whistle blew, with the score standing 5-1.
The Penguins now await the victors of the game between Division I Gabrielite Remix FC and Team Engineering, when they face off this Sun’s evening at a 7 pm game.
