ACES Shocked by Team Refugees
ACES United, comfortably sitting on the top of the summit of the MOF 11s Sunshine League Division III table, lost for the first time in the season as they slumped to a 1-2 to Team Refugees.
Having won 8 of their last 9 games prior to the game, ACES were 9 points clear at the top of the table. A remarkable display of combative football witnessed a game of excitement and it was filled with almost non-stop action; end to end. REF took the game to ACES and with exhibition of sheer determination, finally prevailed with a fine win.
Despite losing, ACES’ 9 point lead remains as closest challengers TSS FC fell to 6th placed Team FECA in yet another upset. The title is now ACES’ to lose.
