In a title race that has been separated by such fine margins, Touch N Go and current league leaders Supernova FC go head to head as they both vie for the biggest prize. With Old Boys FC having finished their season, they could still finish higher than their current position in third dependent on the result of this Friday’s big clash.
Things did not go so well for Supernova the last time these two sides met after they were thrashed 13-2 by the local giants as they fell to their first and only defeat of the season so far. TNG have had their own struggles of late as well, after they succumbed to a 5-15 defeat against XVII which blew the race for the title wide open.
What remains to be seen is if Supernova can break their hoodoo against the top sides, after faltering during the big games, evident from their recent 8-8 draw with OBFC after they let a 3 goal lead slip in just over 5 minutes. TNG on the other hand, can count on their experience and pedigree having won numerous accolades over the years.
But judging from recent results, nothing is for certain until the final whistle blows on Friday..
