Experience
Afiq is a tough defender who is also very comfortable with the ball at his feet, and has been playing at the highest level that Singapore and Malaysia has had to offer since making his professional debut at 17-years old. He made his breakthrough at Young Lions, staying at the club until he received an offer to play in the Malaysian Super League for Lions XII where he was part of the side that won the 2015 Malaysia FA Cup. After his spell in Malaysia following the disbandment of Lions XII, he returned to Singapore where he has represented top local clubs Tampines Rovers and Home United in 2016 and 2017 respectively, with both teams heavily involved in the title race for each season. During this time, he has also played in the AFC Cup and AFC Asian Champions League preliminary stages.
Afiq is now entering the prime of his career, and he is ready to test himself at a higher level in South-East Asia.
